One dad was scratching his head at a maths
problem his son got at school. The puzzle, aimed
at Year 5 students in Derbyshire, UK, has drawn a
blank from even pro problem solvers.
The dad, 43, who got A-levels in maths in
economics, said: “My son’s grandma had spent a
while helping him with his homework and most of
it was straightforward but this one question left
her stumped. I then spent an hour or so trying to
work it out but found it impossible. I even sent it to
a friend who got a 1st class degree in economics
and they were baffled by it as well. A couple of
friends are maths teachers too so I’ve sent it to
them but so far I’ve heard nothing back. I really do
think it is impossible and it is certainly not
something a ten-year-old can answer. It just does
not make sense.” Do have a crack at it after the
cut...

Stephen Keshi’s death: Family member breaks silence, appeals to the public
Rickey Aburime, a member of the late Stephen
Keshi’s family, has given first comments on the
death of the former Super Eagles coach.
Speaking with The Nation, Aburime debunked media
reports that Keshi died of heart attack and warned
the public against speculation about the cause of
the death.
He noted that a toxicological autopsy would
determine the actual cause of the ex-coach.
Aburime revealed that Keshi was meeting some
friends and family members at his resident in Benin
City, when suddenly he fell sick.
***Enyeama, Oliseh, others break down in tears over Keshi’s death**
“All of a sudden, they noticed his countenance
changed and he was not okay. The person with him
called Ebuka and they rushed him to the hospital. He
was dead by the time they got to the hospital. A
nurse that checked him said there was no pulse.
Doctors later confirmed him dead.
“After the confirmation, as he was not a patient of
the hospital, they could not write any report or
present any death certificate. They said we must
bring the police report and the police came to
inspect the body. I am about to take the corpse to
Stella Obasanjo Hospital pending the autopsy which
the family want to do. Dr. Wilson Akhiwu will
conduct the autopsy.”
“There is no official statement as to the cause of
death. There will be no embalming. It was sudden
and we don’t want anybody to speculate. There was
no sign of ill health and Keshi has not complained of
any recently,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)

Judge orders release of teenage boy charged with murder of 4 people after the real killer confessed
A judge on Tuesday threw out the murder
convictions of Davontae Sanford who pleaded
guilty to killing four people at age 14, a case which
a lot of people had doubted for years especially
after a professional hit man stepped forward and
took responsibility for the murders at a drug den.
Judge Brian Sullivan acted at the request of the
Wayne County prosecutor's office and lawyers for
, Sanford who's now 23.
Sanford was arrested and convicted for murder
in the 2007 fatal shootings of four people at a
Detroit house. He pleaded guilty to second-degree
murder at age 15, because he was trying to please
the Police. But after he got arrested, he withdrew
his confession but it was already too late. Since
his arrest, he had been trying to undo that plea for
years, especially after hit man Vincent Smothers
confessed to the murders.
Vincent Smothers insists that he killed the four
people in a drug house and that Sanford had no
role in it.
Judge Sullivan said Sanford who is still in a prison
in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, will be released on
bond and all charges against him will eventually be
dropped.
The agreement signed by prosecutors says the
state police found major problems in the work of a
Detroit police official who investigated Sanford
after the four homicides.
Smothers is in prison after pleading guilty to eight
other murders.
