A pastor who was dismissed attempts to do something terrible

The police in Edo state have arrested Abel Eku, pictured above, a pastor who attempted to bomb the headquarters of the Christ Chosen Church of God in Edo state following his dismissal from the church.

Abel who was paraded before newsmen in Benin city today, said he had served the church for 25 years and was aggrieved that he was dismissed unjustly by the leadership of the church on January 22nd.

 

The suspected ritualist, Taofeek Hassan was escorted by the police to the place he killed a woman who he said came for spiritual cleansing. When they got to the place they discovered more unidentified bodies. This happened on Sunday at Ikoga community in Badagry area of Lagos..

Nagging is continuous repetition of past happenings that upsets the person. By these definitions we now know what nagging is all about.

Philipa Chiedu Abraham’s ‘Basira in London’ starring Eniola Badmus premieres on March 24, 2017 and open to cinema viewers across the country on same day. Lagos is set to experience comedy climax. The Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island will play host to dignitaries and celebrities who will be privileged to view the movie for the first time in Nigeria.

 

The announcement is coming almost two years after the movie shut down London when it first premiered in London to sold out audiences in the U.K. With thousands in attendance, BASIRA in LONDON recorded the highest turn out of audiences for Nollywood films screened in the U.K. In August 2015, ‘Basira in London’ starring Eniola Badmus took the U.K by storm and that has created anticipation from the Nigerian audience.

 

The movie, BASIRA in LONDON was produced and directed by Phillipa Chiedu Abraham, who also starred in the movie. It tells the story of an African woman (Eniola Badmus) who relocates to London with great expectations. The culture clash and her efforts in trying to fit in make this film ‘unmissable’. The movie gives stamp to the premise, ‘you can take a girl out of Nigeria but you cannot take Nigeria out of the girl’.
